Test Standard and Teacher Made Tests

1. Definition of standard test
Ability test consists of two kinds of aptitude tests and achievement tests. Both kinds of tests using the count and testing of reading skills. Both tests have been used to predict the outcome for the future, though in general if we use the appraisal to see what achievement tests which have been obtained after the student (tryer) were given a lesson.
The procedure used to determine the contents of the test achievement also slightly different from that used during the preparation of aptitude tests. In the learning achievement test preparation efforts are used to determine the knowledge and skills that are taught at various levels of education and test items intended for assessment of these materials.
2. Standard achievement test
Among the achievement tests used in schools there is called standard achievement tests. Standard is a degree of level of requirement, excellence or Attainment. The Standards for students is a level of ability to be held for a particular program. Perhaps the standard for a course different from A college and B college. So this standard can be made hard or soft in accordance with having wisdom.
The procedures used to develop standardized tests for achievement tests by directly grown from a test used in the classroom. While the specifications used to determine the content of the aptitude tests are usually based on job analysis / job or task analysis which is a candidate for the job demands even consider the properties that exist in humans and is usually taken in a society not based curriculum.
The term 'standard' in testing meant that all students answered the same questions of a large number of questions is done by following the same instructions and within limits the same time. Thus it was as if there is standard or measure in order to obtain a standard appearance and the appearance of other groups can be compared with the performance of the standard group.

3. Comparison between standardized tests with teacher-made tests

4. Usefulness of standardized tests
In brief, to put forward the use of standardized tests is if you want to make comparisons and if many people will be entering a school but no available data about this candidate.
Uses standard tests are:
a. Comparing learning achievement with innate individual or group
b. Comparing levels of student achievement in the skills in various fields of study for individuals or groups.
c. Comparing student achievement between different schools or classes.
d. Studying the development of students within a certain time period.
5. Uses teacher-made tests
Uses teacher-made tests are:
a. To determine how well students have mastered the lesson materials are provided within a certain time
b. To determine whether something objective has been achieved.
c. To obtain a value.
Furthermore, both standardized tests and teacher-made ts recommended used if the results are used to:
a. Hold a diagnosis of disability students.
b. Determine where students in a class or group.
c. Selecting students for special programs.
6. Completeness of standardized tests
A test that has been standardized and it can be referred to as standardized tests, usually equipped with a manual. This manual contains descriptions that need and describes the implementation, score, and make interpretations.
Broadly speaking, this standard test manual includes:
a. The characteristics of the test, for example, mention the level of validity, the level reliability and so forth.
b. The purpose and benefits and tests, for example, mentioned to whom the test is given and for what purpose.
c. Process on matters relating to the sample, sample size, sampling techniques and what groups are taken as samples (sample characteristics).
d. Instructions on how to carry out tests, for example, carried out by oral or written, time spent working on each part, may be least tryer out when you finish it and so do the problems.
e. Instructions on how to give score, for example to some every score each question / unit, using a system of punishment or not, how do I calculate the final value and so forth.
f. Instructions for interpreting the results, eg.
